The Gold Coast Hinterland Heritage Museum is celebrating Australia Day on Friday 26 January 2018. Museum is open from 10.00 am – 2.00 pm.
Other groups such as GC Woodturners, Spinners and Weavers, Motor cycles, Antique Auto Club ,and Gold Coast Potters in our Heritage complex will be open on this day as well as a performance by the Hinterland Community Band. Peter Davenport will also entertain with a sing a long and his accordion.
Albert Battery will hold a flag raising and rifle volley at 11.30 am.
A sausage sizzle, Devonshire tea and Anderson's Ices are available as well as a make, bake, grow table. We have a Jumping Castle to keep the children amused while mum and dads enjoy a stroll around the complex.
All our displays depict life as it was in the early pioneering days and show the history of the Gold Coast and Hinterland.

On Australia Day, the team from The Wallaby Hotel have offered free transfers between the pub and the GC Hinterland Heritage Museum Inc. for the ceremony and activities being held there that day. There’s always a bit of congestion over at the museum on #AustraliaDay and parking is tough to come by. The Wallaby have a great lunch on and other afternoon entertainment.
